Day 4: Athabasca

Today was another long day but the roads were much safer to drive on. We saw a moose on the highway! We stopped in McLeannen for lunch at Die's Home Cooking. Davis got the Salmon pasta and I am back to being a non fish eater... I thought the Yukon had changed me. I totally LOVED the fish there. But this fish just smelled awful.

We said good-bye to the Alaska Hwy and hello to Alberta. I have always wanted to go to Athabasca. I was going to take some distance learning classes from there back when I went to the college. Well, we got to Athabasca in the dark and left early in the morning... so I didnt get to see much of the town. But I am sure it is a beautiful place. We had a nice stay there and the boys had fun hanging out on the big king size bed (I want one of those one day)
